Yahoo news posted an article about German parents putting their baby son on eBay for one Euro. The mother claims it was just a joke but police are still investigating.

Here is a snippet from the article:

BERLIN - Authorities in southern Germany said Saturday they have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, the equivalent of $1.57.

Now, my parents have joked about giving me away when I was being difficult but they’ve never gone so far as to actually try to sell me.

Even if it was just a joke I don’t know how the parents could think they wouldn’t get in trouble for this. Seems pretty obvious to me that the police would come after you.

I’ve been kind of quiet lately, eh? I’ve been in an off mood for pretty much the entire past month and going into this month. I don’t know why, but I do this all the time. I’ll be active for awhile then inactive then active then inactive.

My moods are weird.

I was hoping that I’d perk up over ‘Spring’ Break but it’s now the last day and I’m not feeling any more active. I sometimes wonder if I have a mood disorder or something. Or if I’m anemic. My mom thinks I am but I haven’t been tested yet.

Anyway, despite the fact that I feel like I’ve been doing nothing I’ve actually been working on my Jrock Gallery.  I’ve uploaded roughly over 600 images and (finally) changed the layout. That’s my ‘main’ site so it gets the bulk of my hard work.

In fact, I’m still working on it now. Waiting for someone to email me back so I can throw up some JSHOCK banners.

But it sucks when I’m in moods like this because I want to do things, but then at the same time I don’t. There are so many times where I am about to update and then I change my mind and decide ‘I don’t feel like it.’

I just hope that by the time Spring rolls around my mood will be up and active again.

This is a bit of a rant and so I apologize beforehand.

One thing I seem to have noticed on the internet is a lot of misogyny. Women are just money hungry, air headed, skanky whores who take advantage of poor hard working decent men constantly.

On Marriage

Don’t ever get married because the woman will divorce your ass and take all your stuff! Beware of a woman proposing marriage because it just means she’s after your money!

Seriously, stop going after the bimbo, princess-wannabes and you shouldn’t have a problem. If you’ve been with someone for awhile then you should know if they’re some money hungry whore or not. If they are - then get out of the relationship.

If you don’t - then it’s your fault for losing everything. Don’t marry a girl if you’re afraid that she’s going to take all your money. That’s just asking for trouble.

And don’t you dare think all of us are like that. I’m so sick of hearing about how all women are just after money. I, for one, do not like spending other people’s money. I feel guilty for just asking for a dollar. And I do my best to payback as quickly as possible.

Believe it or not - not all of us girls are after your bank account. If all the girls you know are after money then you’re hanging out with the wrong crowd.  Maybe stop picking up flirty little socialites with designer clothes, no degree, and a ‘I am special’ mentality.

Maybe try paying attention to the girls that have stable jobs and probably aren’t hanging out in clubs shoving their implants in your face while gushing about their new shoes and pretending to be Paris Hilton. You know, the girls that don’t need your bank account because they already have their own.

Seriously, there are a lot of great girls out there who aren’t out to use men. You just never hear about us because we aren’t causing any problems. So no one talks about us.
But in no way are all women after a man’s money.

Also, if you don’t like those Princess Socialites that are after big bank accounts - then stop encouraging them. Stop giving them all your attention. Stop hooking up with them.

Because you’re just teaching younger girls that this is what men like. They see men chasing after all these bleach blond, big boobed bimbos and so that’s what they try to become. Stop teaching girls that being ‘hot’ makes up for lack of character and girls might stop becoming these selfish princesses.

As for expensive wedding rings - that varies girl to girl. I like diamonds and think they’re pretty and all but I don’t really wear jewelry. If I had a wedding ring then I wouldn’t want it to be heavy or flashy. Just something simple that won’t get in the way. If I don’t get a wedding ring - then that’s fine too. I don’t need a ring to be married.

As for people who cry ‘don’t get married at all!’ - I’m 50/50 on the deal.

Do not marry someone if you’re not sure you can stay with them. However, if you plan on staying with someone for the long haul then I would suggest getting married for legal reasons. If anything were to ever happen to you (or them) then as a spouse you get a say-so in things. If you’re not married then - as far as I know - you have no say in their medical treatment. The hospital would have to get in contact with their parents or something. But I’m not sure because I’m not married.

But yeah, getting married is your way of telling the government ‘if something happens to me, this person is my spouse and is in charge‘. If marriage weren’t required then your long time roommate might try to claim your fortune if you die. If no one ever married then your roommate wouldn’t need much proof to try and claim everything. They could just make up some story about how the two of you were together and the proof would be the fact that you lived together.

So until there is a better way to confirm who’s in charge when something happens - then I think marrying a long time partner isn’t a bad idea. Just make sure you talk about everything beforehand.

Of course, if you don’t want to marry the person, then don’t marry them. If your girlfriend asks you to marry her don’t say ‘yes’ unless your really want to. Or else your marriage probably will end up in a messy divorce.

And keep in mind that some women are just as scared and have just as much to lose. This isn’t the 1700s when women had nothing. These days girls have jobs too and some women are quite successful.

I’m sure there are plenty of successful women who have to deal with sleazy men trying to snag an easy life.

On Women in General

Okay, what is it with all women being bitches and whores? She broke your heart, she’s a bitch. She wouldn’t let you watch the ball game, she’s a bitch.  She wouldn’t put out, she’s a bitch. She does put out, she’s a whore.

There are so many times on the internet where I’ve come across some story where a girl might have done something mean/bad and everyone goes on and on about how’s she’s a bitch and all women are bitches.

Then I’ll come across some story about say.. a guy cheating and everyone goes on and on about how if the girl wasn’t such a bitch he wouldn’t have had to cheat on her. If she wasn’t so fat and ugly he wouldn’t have to cheat on her. If she wasn’t this, that, and the other - he wouldn’t have to cheat on her.

Everyone makes it sound like it’s always the girls fault and the poor poor guy had no other option. He’s a great guy, really! His girlfriend/wife is just a bitch!

Not to say that some women aren’t but in my experience guys can be just as bitchy, fat, and ugly as girls.  It’s not always the guys fault, but it’s certainly not always the girls fault either.

And what is with the complete disrespect of women as fellow humans? I’m sorry but it is not my job to shut my mouth and open my legs.

I know it’s not true but sometimes I get the overwhelming feeling that men see women as brainless, animated sex toys. They don’t want us to think or have opinions they just want to fuck us then throw us away.

Then they get all bitchy and defensive when girls disrespect them.

I thought we were supposed to be past all this sexism? There is more to a women then her boobs and vagina.

Now like I said, I know it’s not everyone but it’s just the feeling I get sometimes when I’m on male dominated sites. So don’t get all defensive and iffy about how ‘all men aren’t like that…!’ Because I know.

I know that some women are air headed, useless, money hungry whores. But not all of us. It’s not fair that all of us females are stuck with that image just because some girls are like that.

You don’t like when we stereotype you men so don’t do the same to us.

Sorry for all this, but I hate feeling like I’m nothing but a bitch and a tool for mens pleasure just because I have a vagina.

Okay, I think I’m done. This is just something that’s been bothering me after reading comments at places like Digg  (or any other male dominated site). If you’re one of those good, decent guys - then I’m not talking about you! So don’t get all defensive.

I love guys, don’t get me wrong, but there’s only so much female bashing I can deal with in a short period of time before it gets to me.

I’m sure many people have heard about ‘Pay Per Play’ or NetAudioAds. They’re getting advertised left and right by people trying to pimp their affiliate link.

For those who don’t know - PPP is claiming a new sort of advertising where you can monetize 100% of your traffic. Instead of placing banner ads - which take up space - you can instead play a 5 second audio clip to earn money. Everyone who comes to your site will hear the ad - and you will make money.

Some people think this is the going to be the next craze in internet advertising. I’m not so sure.

Personally, I think playing sound randomly on your website will either chase off users or cause them to turn their sound off. For people who listen to music on their computer while surfing the net, this will be especially annoying.

There you are, rocking out to that song on full volume. You click a link and headbang while waiting for the page to load and then - ARE YOU LOOKING FOR CHEAP AUTO INSURANCE? SOANDSO HAS THE BEST RATES WITH THE BEST QUOTES. DON’T WAIT, CALL NOW AND GET A FREE QUOTE!

Talk about a heart attack. Even worse when you don’t have any music on but forgot to turn down the volume. All is silent until boom! Advertisement screaming at you from your computer.

I think PPP ads will be like talking banner ads except more annoying. Why more annoying? Because there is no visible ad so you have no idea where the sound is coming from. If you’re like me, you have multiple tabs/windows open. And if there’s no visible ad then there’s no telling which window/tab it’s coming from.

I also always have my volume turned on because I listen to music and watch videos throughout the day. So if PPP becomes popular then people will be making a ton of money off me.

However, if PPP pays well, and you have a site you don’t really care about, then heck yeah, throw up the ads. Only if it pays well though.

I have a junk site that I don’t really use and I’m going to test PPP on it. Just to see how it does, and maybe leech some easy money. But I won’t use PPP on any of my higher traffic sites because I don’t want to drive visitors away.

Five second ads the first couple of times you hear them might not bother you, but after awhile it starts to rub you raw.

March 23, 2007 Tofu Records went down for “relaunch”.  And they’ve been down since.

I had emailed them several months ago, but got no reply, and now the website is down. I guess Tofu Records isn’t coming back. Kind of sad.

I had a love/hate relationship with TR. They were around when HYDE came to the U.S which I am eternally grateful for.  They kept us up to date for all the info we needed. It was perfect timing - right after I graduated high school - so I was able to go. It was also nice having a Jrock source here in the U.S.

The forums though… They were a mess. The admin/mod was rarely around so there was constant fighting going on. If you disagreed with someone then you were an idiot, and if you were attracted to anyone then you were a stupid fangirl.

Fans were constantly ripping each other apart over who was a ‘better’ fan. There were so many times people on that forum ticked me off so bad that I wish I knew where they lived so I could punch them in the face.

The forum also got a lot of spam. Near the end of Tofu life the spam bots had found the forum and were leaving several messages a day. Tofu was using phpbb forum with no captcha so it was pretty easy for spambots to register and very difficult to get rid of them. Plus, like I said, tofuwebby was rarely around so us users were stuck sorting through all the spam posts.

But as much as the forum annoyed me, it did give me something to do. A place where I could go and talk with other Jmusic fans when I was bored.

I hope they come back one day, but with a better forum and some mods that are actually around. Extra points if they bring HYDE back.

I’m sure everyone has heard about the newest internet war.

All Scientology stories have been getting dugg to the front page on Digg, since nearly everyone is in support of Anon. Usually I get annoyed when I see the same things posted over and over again, but for this I’m okay with it.

I really don’t care if people believe in some of the Scientology stuff, but I don’t like the way the treat people.  Not only their own members, but also people who question and/or oppose them.

You can believe what you want, but you can’t infringe on the rights of others.

Plus killing/threatening/suing people is not a good promotional method for converting people.

I also don’t like the way you have to BUY enlightenment. If they were really out to help mankind then wouldn’t this enlightenment be free? With this setup, only people with money deserve to be enlightened.

If you’re poor and seeking enlightenment… too bad. You’re not worthy if you can’t pay up.

When it comes to this war, I do hope no one gets hurt. I hope all Anon members stay anonymous and don’t get caught. Who knows what would happen to them if they got caught.

I also think it’s interesting to watch a band of anonymous internet users take on a huge, powerful church.

It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out.
