Hello misogyny?

This is a bit of a rant and so I apologize beforehand.

One thing I seem to have noticed on the internet is a lot of misogyny. Women are just money hungry, air headed, skanky whores who take advantage of poor hard working decent men constantly.

On Marriage

Don’t ever get married because the woman will divorce your ass and take all your stuff! Beware of a woman proposing marriage because it just means she’s after your money!

Seriously, stop going after the bimbo, princess-wannabes and you shouldn’t have a problem. If you’ve been with someone for awhile then you should know if they’re some money hungry whore or not. If they are - then get out of the relationship.

If you don’t - then it’s your fault for losing everything. Don’t marry a girl if you’re afraid that she’s going to take all your money. That’s just asking for trouble.

And don’t you dare think all of us are like that. I’m so sick of hearing about how all women are just after money. I, for one, do not like spending other people’s money. I feel guilty for just asking for a dollar. And I do my best to payback as quickly as possible.

Believe it or not - not all of us girls are after your bank account. If all the girls you know are after money then you’re hanging out with the wrong crowd.  Maybe stop picking up flirty little socialites with designer clothes, no degree, and a ‘I am special’ mentality.

Maybe try paying attention to the girls that have stable jobs and probably aren’t hanging out in clubs shoving their implants in your face while gushing about their new shoes and pretending to be Paris Hilton. You know, the girls that don’t need your bank account because they already have their own.

Seriously, there are a lot of great girls out there who aren’t out to use men. You just never hear about us because we aren’t causing any problems. So no one talks about us.
But in no way are all women after a man’s money.

Also, if you don’t like those Princess Socialites that are after big bank accounts - then stop encouraging them. Stop giving them all your attention. Stop hooking up with them.

Because you’re just teaching younger girls that this is what men like. They see men chasing after all these bleach blond, big boobed bimbos and so that’s what they try to become. Stop teaching girls that being ‘hot’ makes up for lack of character and girls might stop becoming these selfish princesses.

As for expensive wedding rings - that varies girl to girl. I like diamonds and think they’re pretty and all but I don’t really wear jewelry. If I had a wedding ring then I wouldn’t want it to be heavy or flashy. Just something simple that won’t get in the way. If I don’t get a wedding ring - then that’s fine too. I don’t need a ring to be married.

As for people who cry ‘don’t get married at all!’ - I’m 50/50 on the deal.

Do not marry someone if you’re not sure you can stay with them. However, if you plan on staying with someone for the long haul then I would suggest getting married for legal reasons. If anything were to ever happen to you (or them) then as a spouse you get a say-so in things. If you’re not married then - as far as I know - you have no say in their medical treatment. The hospital would have to get in contact with their parents or something. But I’m not sure because I’m not married.

But yeah, getting married is your way of telling the government ‘if something happens to me, this person is my spouse and is in charge‘. If marriage weren’t required then your long time roommate might try to claim your fortune if you die. If no one ever married then your roommate wouldn’t need much proof to try and claim everything. They could just make up some story about how the two of you were together and the proof would be the fact that you lived together.

So until there is a better way to confirm who’s in charge when something happens - then I think marrying a long time partner isn’t a bad idea. Just make sure you talk about everything beforehand.

Of course, if you don’t want to marry the person, then don’t marry them. If your girlfriend asks you to marry her don’t say ‘yes’ unless your really want to. Or else your marriage probably will end up in a messy divorce.

And keep in mind that some women are just as scared and have just as much to lose. This isn’t the 1700s when women had nothing. These days girls have jobs too and some women are quite successful.

I’m sure there are plenty of successful women who have to deal with sleazy men trying to snag an easy life.

On Women in General

Okay, what is it with all women being bitches and whores? She broke your heart, she’s a bitch. She wouldn’t let you watch the ball game, she’s a bitch.  She wouldn’t put out, she’s a bitch. She does put out, she’s a whore.

There are so many times on the internet where I’ve come across some story where a girl might have done something mean/bad and everyone goes on and on about how’s she’s a bitch and all women are bitches.

Then I’ll come across some story about say.. a guy cheating and everyone goes on and on about how if the girl wasn’t such a bitch he wouldn’t have had to cheat on her. If she wasn’t so fat and ugly he wouldn’t have to cheat on her. If she wasn’t this, that, and the other - he wouldn’t have to cheat on her.

Everyone makes it sound like it’s always the girls fault and the poor poor guy had no other option. He’s a great guy, really! His girlfriend/wife is just a bitch!

Not to say that some women aren’t but in my experience guys can be just as bitchy, fat, and ugly as girls.  It’s not always the guys fault, but it’s certainly not always the girls fault either.

And what is with the complete disrespect of women as fellow humans? I’m sorry but it is not my job to shut my mouth and open my legs.

I know it’s not true but sometimes I get the overwhelming feeling that men see women as brainless, animated sex toys. They don’t want us to think or have opinions they just want to fuck us then throw us away.

Then they get all bitchy and defensive when girls disrespect them.

I thought we were supposed to be past all this sexism? There is more to a women then her boobs and vagina.

Now like I said, I know it’s not everyone but it’s just the feeling I get sometimes when I’m on male dominated sites. So don’t get all defensive and iffy about how ‘all men aren’t like that…!’ Because I know.

I know that some women are air headed, useless, money hungry whores. But not all of us. It’s not fair that all of us females are stuck with that image just because some girls are like that.

You don’t like when we stereotype you men so don’t do the same to us.

Sorry for all this, but I hate feeling like I’m nothing but a bitch and a tool for mens pleasure just because I have a vagina.

Okay, I think I’m done. This is just something that’s been bothering me after reading comments at places like Digg  (or any other male dominated site). If you’re one of those good, decent guys - then I’m not talking about you! So don’t get all defensive.

I love guys, don’t get me wrong, but there’s only so much female bashing I can deal with in a short period of time before it gets to me.

Play and help

free riceUnfortunately, in some parts of the world people are starving. Fortunately, you can help.

FreeRice lets you play a word game and everytime you get a word correct they donate 20 grains of rice. And it doesn’t cost you any money at all, just play their little game.

The rice is paid for with money from the advertisements, which are along the bottom of the page.

Anyway, it’s an easy way to help out others without too much effort on your part. Just match up some words and you’re good to go.

TTAM: Sorry, can’t park here!

I’m generally an easy going person and try not to get annoyed by too many things. But my school is pushing it.

They have decided to close the main parking lot. The main parking lot is in the front of the school and not only is it used for student and guest parking but also drop off and pick up.

Well, for reasons unknown to me, my school has had that parking lot blocked off for two days now. It will probably be blocked off tomorrow also.

No one I’ve talked to knows that they’re doing, and there are no notices on the website or the bulletin board. And from what I’ve seen, nobody it working out there.

This annoys me for a couple reasons:

  • I get dropped off and picked up from school. I usually get dropped off/picked up at the front doors but now I have to get dropped off on the side and walk farther. It wouldn’t be such an issue except the side we can reach is under construction so I end up having to walk all the way to the front doors anyway. And it’s cold.
  • Why couldn’t they do this some other time? I don’t know what they’re doing, but Spring Break is in about two weeks so they could have waited. Instead they are inconveniencing everyone.
  • We have to pay for a parking permit (even if we don’t park!). Now that the front parking lot is blocked off it leaves only part of the side lot and… a dirt lot. Yes, you have to pay so that you can park your nice pretty car in the dirt.
  • What about the handicapped/people in wheelchairs/crutches/whatever? They usually park in the front and the front door has a button to automatically open the door.

parking lot

(Thanks to Google Maps for the…map)

  • The way the school is set up lets students park in the front parking lot, a dirt lot, and one side parking lot. The back and the other side are for staff. Now that the front lot is temporarily closed that leaves just the side lot or the dirt lot (which would be difficult for someone in a wheelchair to get through and it’s not right up against the school). However, the side we can access has part of the parking lot blocked also because they’re doing construction in that area. That means the handicapped parking spots are blocked off.
So where the heck are they supposed to park? If they got to park in the back (in staff parking) they could park near a ramp but they would either need to have someone open the door for them or go alllll the way around the school to get to the front door. Like I said, only the front door has a button to automatically open.

I don’t know what they are doing or how long this is going to take, but they better work fast.

In 50 years when I’m old and lazy…er

So, I was thinking about how life would be in 50 years; things I’d miss and things I wouldn’t.

Rockstars. I’m going to miss all the rockstars. A lot of the rockers from the 70s and 80s aren’t making music anymore but they’re still around for when we want to rock out and party.

But in 50 years they’ll probably all be dead. We’re going to be stuck with all these pop-rock stars and rappers. I’m going to really miss them, and I feel like when the good rockstars die then the good music will also die.

Because music these days seems to be getting worse and worse.

In the future there may be a resurgence of rock domination but it won’t be the same as the 70s, 80s, and early 90s rock. Kind of like the rock we have today isn’t the same (and for the most part, not as good).

A little bit of my soul will die when all these rockers disappear.

Some other things I’m going to miss:

Less traffic. We have tons of traffic now but in 50 years it’s going to be 50x worse (unless there’s a huge population decline)

Freedom? - Now, our country may remain ‘free’ but it still seems that over the years there’s less individual “freedom” for people. For example, when my parents were in school it was very easy for them to skip class. Very easy.

But now days we have cameras in the halls and teachers take attendance on the computer. It will show if you went to all your classes except one - and if you didn’t get checked out then the administration will know you were skipping.

And in the future I’m sure schools - and every other business - will have even more ways to keep track of everyone. Heck, in 50 years maybe when you call in sick your boss will send a doctor/robot to confirm.

I love technology but the more advanced it gets the less personal freedom we may end up with. I mean, how can I tell my boss that I’m sick and then go hang out with friends if I have a GPS tracking chip installed in the back of my neck? My boss will know where I am.

Being able to get a job without 500 degrees. It seems you need a degree for everything these days. And even if you have a degree you’re not guaranteed to get a good job. In the future, Bachelor’s Degrees will be like high school diplomas- useless. You’ll need several degrees if you want to get a decent job - the more the better.

Some things I will NOT miss:

Reality TV. I pray up and down that in 50 years this reality TV craze will be over. Some reality shows are fine - like on Discovery channel and Animal planet and such. But all these reality game shows and shows where they just follow someone’s family around are annoying. Please be gone in the future!

Houses. Forget the houses we have today. In 50 years my house better be all decked out in crazy awesome technology. I want my dinner cooked and ready to eat when I get home and I want all kinds of cool little gadgets to play around with.

The popstars, rappers, and people that are famous for no reason. Popstars don’t bother me so much, I like their music sometimes. But I love rock and rockstars so I’m not going to miss them too much when they’re gone. Rap I don’t listen to so won’t miss them either. And as for those famous-for-no-reason people… I can’t wait until they’re gone.

No one told me getting lazy would hurt

Now when I was a child I played outside a lot. We were always out running around playing tag, hide-n-go-seek, whatever else. And one thing we did a lot was ride bikes.

We’d ride bikes up hills and race back down then do it again. We could ride through the entire neighborhood and back again and still have energy to keep going. We could ride all day.

But then we moved (a couple times) to neighborhoods where there weren’t any kids our age. We discovered the internet and moved inside. No more bike riding for a long long time.

Well, yesterday I was feeling the urge to get out for a bit so my sister and I decided to walk through our neighborhood and the one across the street. Well, she walked and I rode the bike.

Easy right? Did this all the time when I was a kid!

First big hill nearly killed me. Part way up I could feel my legs and chest burning. I knew it wasn’t going to be as easy as it was when I was younger, but I didn’t think I would get tired so quickly either.

A bit disappointing because riding a bike is still enjoyable but now I’m too out of shape to have fun.

Come spring  (or nice weather) I’m going to have to start riding more often to get back in shape. I can’t believe something as simple as riding a bike has me winded.

Internet as ruined me!

Well, I ruined myself but it feels better to blame something else.
