July 12th, 2007 | Making money

I - like many people - am always trying to find more ways to make money online, without costing me anything. Because there are so many ways to make money online, I sometimes forget sites that I had previously looked into.

To help combat this memory loss, I have decided to create a list of various ways to make money online. Its more for myself, but it may prove useful to others.

*Note: I have not tried all of these sites (yet), but I have at least heard of them.

  1. Google Adsense
One of the big players in the money making game. I use adsense on a few of my sites, and am debating whether or not to put it back on this blog. Probably the most popuar site for making money. PPC Network.
  2. Yahoo Publisher Network
I suppose this could be considered another big player. I have never used this network because I heard they don’t count clicks for international traffic, and my most successful site is full of international traffic. Though it may prove successful for some. PPC Network.
  3. AdBrite
I haven’t tried this site, but I have heard of it. I’ve actually been thinking about giving it a try. PPC Network
  4. Bidvertiser
    Another popular PPC network.
  5. Adtoll
PPC Network - Am currently testing. I believe they are still fairly new, so they don’t have tons of RON ads to show for each ad unit. The 100×100 unit I’m testing only seems to have two ads.
  6. Clicksor
Another contextual ad network, I’ve never used them but I have seen their name around quite a bit.
  7. Kontera
PPC in-text link network. They turn words on your site into PPC links, allowing you to make money and save space.
  8. ReviewMe
Allows bloggers to get paid for posting reviews of products and services. I don’t use this, but I know that many many bloggers do.
  9. AuctionAds
An affiliate program that displays ebay auction ads. Publishers will get paid when a users clicks the ad and then takes action on ebay. The website claims: “Actions are defined as a Winning Bid, a Buy-it-Now or a confirmed user registration.” Publishers have the potential to earn big money with this program.
  10. Text Link Ads
Publishers get paid for displaying advertisers text links on their website. Its paid on a monthly basis, regardless of clicks. Very popular, and seems to be growing even more popular every day.
  11. PayPerPost
Bloggers get paid to post to their blogs. They are offered tasks, telling them what to blog about and any other requirements for the post, if their post is approved they’ll get paid. Some bloggers make thousands on dollars with this service.
  12. Blogsvertise
Another paid-to-post website. It’s currently not as big as PayPerPost so there are not as many offers, but it has potential. You can also get paid for displaying text links monthly on your blog homepage. I’ve been paid by them twice so far.
  13. Blogitive
    Another popular paid-to-post website.
  14. The Last Post Wins
A website that was created for the popular “the last post wins” game. The last poster in each contest will earn money, paid by paypal. I managed to win $20 on the first contest.
  15. Buy Me a Beer Wordpress Plugin
Instead of just saying “Please Donate” you can use this plugin to let visitors ‘buy’ you a beer through paypal. In my opinion, this may work better than just straight out asking for donations, because it doesn’t look like you’re begging for money.

If you know of anymore, feel free to comment and let me know.

I have adbrite on my blog. Having said that almost no one click on my ads :( , I had my first sponsor from adbrite. He paid less than half a dollar to see his link on my site for a week. I even posted about it.

[...] ago I made a list of ways to make money online and have been trying several of the services in an attempt to make even a little extra [...]
