AuctionAds sold to Media Whiz

According to the ShoeMoney blog, AuctionAds has been acquired by Media Whiz.

Due to the popularity of AuctionAds, it was decided that it would be easier to hand over the reins to a more experienced company to help expand on AuctionAds’ great potential.

Media Whiz also owns the ever popular Text Link Ads, so users can be assured that AuctionAds will be in good hands (hopefully).

If you’re not a member of AuctionAds, I suggest you sign up! You can display ebay ads on your site, and earn money each time a user clicks through the ad and takes some sort of action (such as buying or signing up).

The more ways to make money online, the better.

The end is near

Yes, the end is near and soon students will be returning to that hellish place known as school. Their time will be consumed with math and history - hours of homework tormenting their tired souls.

More time in class means less time online - which makes me curious as to how this will affect traffic and/or making money.

I, myself, will be returning to a very confusing year of college, so I know that - unfortunately - I won’t get as much time online.

And I know that most of the visitors to my JRock Gallery (most popular part of my site) are teenagers/young adults and will be getting torn away for school as well. Which means less time on my site. For those of you who have been using their blog/site long enough to know, how does school affect your traffic and money making?

Do your profits go down - due to people being in school - or do they stay the same? Or even go up?

Smorty

In the world of blogging and money making, get paid to blog services are one of the easiest ways to make money online. It only takes a little effort - one post - and you got yourself some easy money.

Smorty is another one of these blog advertising sites.

I’ve come across Smorty before and finally decided to try them out. My account - thankfully - got approved and now I’m on the road to making money.

Like other sites, site owners can advertise on blogs while the bloggers get paid for blogging. So in the end both people get what they want.

I’ve noticed that Smorty seems to have a nice and clean layout. The member’s area has 3 columns: basic account info (earnings), pending tasks, and new opportunities.

Very limited graphics, so it loads fast and the colors and cleanliness are easy on the eyes.

One thing that I like about Smorty is that they payout weekly. Very nice perk when you don’t want to wait a month to see some results.

If you’re not a member, I suggest you give them a try. After all, every dollar counts.

Yeah, you know what I’m talking about.

Bleh.

I hate when I type out a nice long post and then the server gives me problems and I lose it.

I had the post on my copy and paste - because I kept getting server problems - but then I copied something else - trying to clear up school issues - and lost my whole post.

Alexa for Firefox

For those of you who care about your Alexa ranking, they have released a toolbar for firefox.

It’s relatively small and out of the way, you can almost forget that it’s there - down in the lower right corner, and a ‘Related Links’ menu is placed on the top menu bar.

To me, Alexa ranking was always a bit useless but I believe that Text Links Ads uses your ranking to help determine the cost for your site.

So all you Firefox users get off your lazy bums and go download the toolbar!

The best band in the world

So, Jabramusic’s ‘The Best Band in the World’ vote thing is winding down to an end, with it ending tomorrow.

Unfortunately L’Arc~en~Ciel was added late so they haven’t been able to make it to number one. We fans have been voting our butts off though, and managed to bring them from the bottom of the list up to number 12.

We know we won’t be able to get enough votes to get them into first, so our goal is to at least get them into the top 10, and we have until tomorrow to do so.

I have a feeling that Tokio Hotel is going to win, since they have been in first place for most of the voting period. I like some of their music so I’ll happy if they win, rather than some band I’ve never heard of/don’t like.

If you haven’t voted yet, then show support to your favorite band by voting for them. If you don’t know who to vote for, then vote for L’Arc~en~Ciel!

You do have register, but if you choose to not be contacted then you don’t have to enter an email address so no spam mail.
