Honking your horn has been banned in Shanghai, but that’s not enough to shut up these drivers.

Instead, some are spending money to have a personalized horn for their car that includes voice recordings and music.

Report: Banned from honking, Shanghai drivers switch to music, voice recordings

It said at least one taxi driver has converted his to a recording of a woman’s voice saying, “Please mind the car, we are making a turn.” Other horns play music, similar to a personalized cell phone ring tone.

Unfortunately this clever action doesn’t get them around the law, since all forms of honking are banned.

Personally, I think your horn playing music must be much nicer on the ears than a normal screeching horn.

But it does just go to show - no matter how many laws you make, someone will always try to find a way around them.
